Privacy Policy for FACEIT ABSOLUTE
Last updated: August 3, 2026
FACEIT ABSOLUTE is a Chrome extension that adds FACEIT CS2 profile, lobby, map, match, and encounter information to FACEIT pages. It also provides optional FACEIT account connection, profile customization, demo upload, feedback, and automation features.
Scope
The extension reads page context only on the FACEIT and FACEIT ABSOLUTE pages listed in its Chrome manifest. It does not monitor general browsing history.
Data the Extension Handles
- FACEIT page and account data: page URLs and visible content needed to identify the current profile, player nickname or ID, match room, lobby, map, and encounter context. When account connection is used, the extension stores the FACEIT player ID, nickname, connection status, and a FACEIT ABSOLUTE authentication session.
- Local settings and content: feature settings, map filters, auto-accept and auto-reload preferences, chat message text and preferences, profile appearance settings, player notes, recent diagnostic entries, and identifiers used to avoid repeating automated actions.
- Cached data: FACEIT statistics, player and match identifiers, encounter results, profile customization metadata, and related timestamps used to reduce repeated requests and improve responsiveness.
- Service and reliability data: a randomly generated extension client ID, extension version, detected FACEIT nickname or player ID, profile background settings, installation and last-seen timestamps, and the IP address used to contact the FACEIT ABSOLUTE backend. While a FACEIT page is in use, the extension sends a service heartbeat no more than once per hour unless the detected account changes.
- Data you submit: profile background images and settings, optional profile-library submissions, demo files and their filenames, types, sizes, parsed results and processing metrics, and feedback messages with any optional contact details and diagnostics you choose to send.
How We Use Data
We use this data only to:
- Display and calculate the FACEIT statistics and context requested by the user.
- Connect a FACEIT account and authorize account-owned features.
- Save settings, notes, caches, profile customizations, and feature state.
- Upload and parse user-selected CS2 demo files.
- Publish a profile customization when the user explicitly submits it to the library.
- Deliver user-configured actions on FACEIT pages, including chat messages.
- Respond to feedback and maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and measure service reliability.
Where Data Is Sent
- FACEIT services: the extension uses FACEIT pages and APIs for account connection, statistics, and user-requested FACEIT actions. For one statistics timeline request, Chrome sends the user's existing FACEIT session credentials directly to FACEIT; the extension does not read or store the user's FACEIT password.
-
FACEIT ABSOLUTE services: the backend API and project-operated profile
library at
faceit-api.eelworg.ruandfaceit.eelworg.rureceive the data required for statistics, account connection, service heartbeats, feedback, profile customizations, and demo processing. The project-operated media host atfaceit-cdn.eelworg.rureceives browser requests when it delivers profile images.
Authorized project administrators may review user-submitted feedback, diagnostics, profile-library submissions, and records needed for support, moderation, security, or abuse prevention. A profile customization becomes publicly visible only when it is published to the public profile library or applied to a public FACEIT profile.
We do not sell user data or share it with advertising platforms or data brokers.
We do not use user data for advertising, lending, or creditworthiness decisions.
Storage and Retention
- Settings, notes, diagnostics, authentication state, and caches are stored in Chrome's extension storage or extension-scoped IndexedDB. They remain until replaced, cleared, disconnected, or the extension's local data is removed. Cached records use expiration times and are refreshed or replaced over time.
- A FACEIT ABSOLUTE authentication session can remain valid for up to 30 days. Disconnecting FACEIT clears the local authentication session and asks the backend to log it out.
- Raw demo files are normally removed within 24 hours after successful processing or within 72 hours after a failed upload. Demo job metadata, parsed results, and provenance records currently have no fixed automatic deletion period.
- The backend keeps the most recent IP address received with each extension heartbeat. Feedback stores the submission IP and is limited to the latest 100 feedback records.
- Active profile customizations can be deleted by the connected user. Profile revision, moderation, and other service records may remain after the active customization is removed.
- The current service does not define a fixed automatic deletion period for extension heartbeat records, profile history, or parsed demo summaries.
Your Choices
- Optional uploads, profile-library publication, and feedback require a user action.
- FACEIT account connection can be disconnected from the extension.
- Local notes, settings, logs, and other extension data can be cleared from Chrome.
- Removing the extension removes its extension-scoped local data from Chrome.
- A connected user can delete the active profile customization from the extension.
Security and Remote Code
Network requests use HTTPS. The browser extension does not receive or store the user's FACEIT password, the backend FACEIT API key, or FACEIT OAuth access or refresh tokens. The backend receives the OAuth authorization code and access token only to complete account connection and retrieve FACEIT identity data; it does not store FACEIT OAuth access or refresh tokens. The extension stores a FACEIT ABSOLUTE session token for authenticated extension features.
The extension does not execute remote code. Its executable logic is included in the extension package; remote services provide data, configuration values, and user-selected media only.
Limited Use
Data is collected, used, and transferred only as necessary to provide or improve the extension's disclosed features and related security, support, moderation, performance, and reliability operations.
FACEIT ABSOLUTE's use and transfer of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Policy Changes
This policy will be updated when the extension's data practices change. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
